After Heart Attack or Stent
Rebuilding confidence after a heart attack or stent.
Even a short hospital stay can leave older adults weaker and unsure about activity. We help you rebuild both the capacity and the confidence to move.
What Many People Experience
- Feeling deconditioned after the hospital stay
- Reduced endurance with walking or household tasks
- Fear or hesitation about exerting yourself
- Avoiding activities you used to do without thinking
- Loss of confidence going out or being alone
What Physical Therapy Addresses
- Graded endurance training within your cardiologist's parameters
- Strength for legs, trunk and everyday tasks
- Practical guidance on what safe exertion feels like
- Return to walking, errands and hobbies
- Coordination with your cardiac rehabilitation program if you attend one
Who It's Appropriate For
Medically stable patients whose cardiologist has cleared them for activity and who have noticed reduced strength, endurance or confidence since the event.
All patients complete clinical screening, and physician clearance is required before enrollment. Nurtura works alongside your cardiologist and any cardiac rehabilitation program you attend, never in place of them.
Where Care Happens
Virtual sessions from home, anywhere in California. For patients in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area, in-person physical therapy may be available when clinically appropriate or necessary.
Coverage
Medicare Part B in-network. Private pay rates available.
